    Job Summary

    The Director of Infrastructure provides leadership and expertise on various aspects of IT infrastructure, including hardware, applications, operating systems, security, networking, and support functions. This role oversees the Infrastructure Team which includes Systems Administrators, Applications Administrators, Network and Telecommunication Managers, DevOps Engineer, and Webmaster as part of an IT Shared Services environment supporting three colleges, ensuring efficient operations and technical support across the organization. The Director of Infrastructure is responsible for supervising professional and technical staff, providing technical resources, and managing the infrastructure components supporting the college's information systems. This position reports to the AVP of Information Technology Services. The Director of Infrastructure will provide IT services to Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar State College Port Arthur, and Lamar State College Orange. This is an exempt position.

    Minimum Qualifications
    1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Science, Business Administration, or related field
    2. Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in technology infrastructure planning, deployment, and administration, with at least five years in a lead or supervisory role.
    3. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.
    4. Extensive knowledge of current Windows desktop and server operating systems.
    5. Extensive knowledge of network architecture, virtualization, and security.
    6. Extensive knowledge of Azure and other cloud related services.
    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with sitting at a desk for long periods, occasional lifting of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and irregular/flexible hours as required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Master's degree in computer science, Management Information Science, Business Administration, or related field.
