    Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

    This is a full time day shift Salary position at La Jolla Memorial hospital. The shift starts at 6:30am with rotating days and is a combination of 50% clinical and 50% administrative.

    This position is eligible for a New Hire Bonus up to $8.5K, and the Supervisor incentive compensation plan.

With 16 OR suites, trauma, 4 open heart, 2 hybrid, 3 robotics, and 1 eye room, we conduct 40-50 surgeries a day.

    Responsibilities include ensuring nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology (Teletracking) and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

    In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

    • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
    • Must remain in original department/specialty
    • Must remain in original Job Title
    • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Two years OR RN experience,
    • One year in a leadership role.
    • Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
    • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care. Graduate of an accredited program.
    • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5 years OR experience
    • 2 years leadership experience
    • BSN and/or certification in area of specialty if applicable.
    • CNOR

    Position Pay Range: $62.50-$87.10/hour
