    Medical Records Specialist Requirements:
    Proven experience in medical records management within a healthcare or mental health setting.
    Knowledge of medical record systems, HIPAA regulations, and compliance standards.
    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Medical Records Specialist Responsibilities:
    Manage and perform processes for medical records requests, retrospective review requests, and chart appeals.
    Review medical records for accuracy and completeness before submission.
    Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure timely processing of requests.
    Maintain accurate documentation of medical records activities in electronic and paper-based systems.
    Collaborate with internal teams, including Billing, Claims, and Quality Assurance, to address medical record-related issues.
    Assist in compiling data for audits, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
    Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on industry best practices.
    Ensure confidentiality and security of medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Pay:
    $18-22/hour

    Full time, M-F
