    The Human Resources (HR) Talent Acquisition division is seeking a Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position will be responsible for onboarding and training new talent acquisition specialists, serve as subject matter expert and troubleshoot hiring process issues with the team, and coordinate the posting process for vacancies for their assigned lines of business. This position will also be the administrator for the NEOGOV applicant tracking system.A successful candidate will successfully handle competing priorities, foster a positive applicant experience, champion efforts to diversify our workforce through attraction and retention, and empower hiring managers to make smart and timely hiring decisions, and have excellent NEOGOV management skills.
    Location and hours:
    This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Hours will be flexible, working 8 hours per day during core business hours, Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. While this position is designated as remote, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota.

    In this position, you will:

  • Oversee and manage NEOGOV: Serve as subject matter expert in applicant tracking systems and usage for county processes/policies/procedures, system updates and maintenance.Manage integrations with other Hennepin County systems.Participate in NEOGOV quarterly calls, regional user group meetings, and conferences.Evaluate new products and releases for utilization at the county; research and coordinate system changes required for full-cycle recruitment implementation.
    Implement and train NEOGOV users on enhancements.Manage all NEOGOV modules, including NEOGOV Onboard and the annual general salary adjustment in NEOGOV to match the compensation manual.Research/present information on new/updated/launching NEOGOV products.Assist talent acquisition supervisor on possible future system innovations and research and implementation, system archival.
  • Onboard and train new talent acquisition specialists, serve as subject matter expert and troubleshoot hiring process issues with the team, and coordinate the posting process for vacancies for their assigned lines of business.
  • Serve as primary back up for analytics and reporting.
  • Need to have:
  • One of the following:Four years or more of human resources work experience.Certificate in human resources from an approved college or university or two years of college including 12 semester credits in the below fields and two years or more of human resources work experience.Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, industrial relations, human resources administration, public administration, psychology, or a field closely related to the position.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and contribute in a team environment.
