    Job Description


    Contractor shall ensure proper staffing to maintain the support requirements of operating a highly reliable environment with Technologies, Systems and Services as described in the previous sections of this SOW.

    Duties

    Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to perform all aspects of cloud network architect, security controls in agency's Azure subscriptions
    Play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network segments and all virtual components in agency's Azure cloud environments
    Perform cross-functional teams to deploy and manage cloud services, automate tasks, and optimize agency's cloud infrastructure for efficiency and scalability
    Collaborate with software architects and other stakeholders to design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's needs, including virtual networks, secure connections and interfaces between on-premise and cloud network
    Efficiently provision, configure, and manage Azure network resources and protocols to support the organization's applications and workloads
    Ensure proper resource allocation and utilization. Develop and maintain automation scripts and templates (e.g., ARM templates, PowerShell) to streamline the deployment and management of Azure network resources
    Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and encryption (where needed).
    Continuously optimize Azure infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance wherever possible.
    Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and document Azure architecture and configurations.
    Troubleshoot and resolve Azure's network related issues and incidents, providing timely and effective solutions.

    Design and implement scalable and highly available solutions using Azure services and features, such as Azure Load Balancers, Availability Sets, and Azure App Service Environments.

    Recommend system enhancements and expansion to IT Operation management.

    Support the full lifecycle of cloud computing management, from customer needs analysis and environment assessment, through design, test, migration, and operation.

    Meet the scope, deadline, budget and client expectations of the cloud project

    Minimum Qualifications


    At least six years of experience in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer network, including two years in a technical leadership or supervisory role.

    At least five years of experience in supporting a complex secure cloud infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and PaaS environment covering all aspects of cloud administration
    Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage, maintain and administer virtual network components an resources. Be able to install, test and verify upgrades, perform hardware life cycle refresh
    Thorough knowledge of computer network telecommunications, Windows Server operating systems, virtualization in a VMWare environment, and the TCP/IP protocol and TCP ports in Secure Cloud Platform
    At least four years of progressive experience in supporting a large network comprising Internet based gateway-to-gateway VPNs, MPLS and point-to-point WAN products
    Thorough knowledge of telecommunications, network, and computer security principles and protocols. Be able to determine related issues and established security practices
    Be able to lead approved LAN/WAN technology deployments and network expansions and upgrades to ensure documented procedures and policies are followed
    Recommend equipment, parts and software required to be purchased by the Government in support of the System Improvement Plan

    Experience

    At least five years of hands-on experience in business requirements gathering, architecting and designing an on-premise or Cloud base solution based on Network and security principles
    Hands-on experience with Azure Vault, IAM, Secret Manager, built DevOps pipelines, and write Code
    Understand the client's automation goals to support the development of software solutions to meet or exceed those goals
    Thorough knowledge of network management protocols and related standard tools.
    Advanced knowledge of load balancing technologies and implementation with F5 BigIP appliances. Additionally, must have thorough knowledge of F5s SSLO, APM, SWG, LTM, GTM, AVR, AAM, and iRule LX
