    Description

    Job Summary

    A key member of the healthcare team, this Full-Time Nurse/LPN II will provide support to health providers in addressing patient needs across various centers.

    JOB FUNCTION:

    • Coordinates with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient services.
    • Administers medication and injections accurately, monitoring patient response and documenting outcomes.
    • Takes patient intake and performs venipuncture as necessary.
    • Orders medications, vaccines, and medical supplies as needed.
    • Ensures emergency box maintenance and refrigerator temperature checks daily.
    • Supervises referrals, follows up on patient care, and handles correspondence.
    • Assists providers with procedures.
    • Confers with physicians/providers for medical regimen clarification and interpretation.
    • Provides health counseling, including HIV education.
    • Updates prenatal records and addresses abnormal lab results as necessary.
    • Maintains nursing competence through continuing education and professional development.
    • Facilitates related services while respecting patient confidentiality and privacy.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • New York State License to practice as a LPN.
    • CPR Certificate or plan to attend a CPR training course within six months of employment.
