    Job Description:

    Join one of the leading healthcare providers in Texas, where every team member plays a critical role in our mission to provide exemplary patient care. We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Certified Medication Aide to join our client's vibrant team.

    The Certified Medication Aide on our team will serve as a support system to our licensed nursing team of RNs and LPN/LVNs, primarily tasked with administrating prescribed medications and performing additional nursing tasks as permissible by state law.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) credential/license.
    • At least 1+ year experience in Clinical Documentation or as a Certified Medication Aide, along with a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification/license
    Key Roles:
    • Dispensing oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients under licensed nurse supervision.
    • Entrusted with the responsibility of observing patients for any adverse drug reactions, notifying the nurses without delay.
    • Tasks will extend to those linked to medication administration.
    • Maintaining patient vital signs, calculating medication dosages, and restocking the medication cart.
    • Accurate recording of medication administrations as per agency procedures.
    • Assisting the nursing team in patient care, involving the observation and reportage of client needs.
    • Recognizing tasks as per your skill and education level and ensuring you perform them ethically, legally, and responsibly.
