- The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the delivery of quality, age-specific healthcare; for utilizing critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgment to ensure positive patient outcomes; for demonstrating ethical practice; and for participating in performance improvement activities to improve the quality of care and ensure performance measures are met and/or exceeded.
- The incumbent assesses, plans, implements, supervises, teaches, evaluates and documents patient care; serves as an integral member of the treatment team, and is responsible for helping to produce a therapeutic environment and plan of care to promote optimal health status.
- The incumbent supports the medical center's mission by possessing and exemplifying the VHA ICARE values.
- This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments.
- The incumbent must be poised and articulate in communicating with people of varied educational levels, ethnic backgrounds, and willing to work cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments. Self-motivated in the pursuit of meeting professional work standards.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required for RNs. Professional certification is encouraged

Summary
The Tuscaloosa Medical Center (TVAMC) in Tuscaloosa, Al is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse (Float Pool PRN).This is an open continuous announcement until September 30, 2024 or until all positions are filled . Qualified applicants will be considered and referred as vacancies become available.
Duties
