- Maintain benefit records and prepare necessary documents for implementation of coverage.
- Conduct annual benefit meetings and advise employees on eligibility for insurance and other benefits and oversee the open enrollment and benefit renewal process.
- Meet annually with FIBT benefit vendors to review plan performance and utilization. Make benefit enhancements and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
- Manage medical leaves of absences under the FMLA, ADA and state and/or federal laws.
- Update required benefits language on intranet with current SPD-s and plan documents.
- Compile and file required benefits regulatory reports.
- Maintain, create, and archive proper correspondence and legal files.
- Bachelor-s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field; and four to seven years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A designation as a CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) or similar designation is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS software.
