    Sr. Systems Engineers are passionate about mission critical systems deployment, management, and monitoring.     Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:

    • Takes ownership of Engineering related deliverables and their technical compliance required by the program.
    • Designs, develops, implements, and validates IT system solutions for networking, computing, and our propriety communications equipment including conceptional, functional, and physical views.
    • Defines scope, objectives, and deliverables, and delegates project tasking to other system engineers on the project team.
    • Collaborates with customers, vendors, and internal teams (e.g., program management, hardware & software development, test engineering, field engineering, production) for total project success.
    • Investigates and applies innovative technologies or methodologies to improve project outcomes, efficiency, or sustainability.
    • Performs risk assessments to identify potential project obstacles and devises mitigation strategies for successful project outcomes.
    • Provides systems and integration engineering for software and hardware systems, subsystems, modules, and application tools.
    • Creates, reviews, and approves technical documentation (e.g., design drawings, design reviews, system layouts, system configuration, build plans/instructions, rollout strategies).
    • Ensures adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
    • Manages expectations and resolves project-related issues.
    • Experience in the following technologies:
    • Proficient in RHEL operating system. Knowledgeable in Windows operating system.
    • Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python).
    • Log aggregation and reporting (ELK/Opensearch, Splunk)
    • Network analysis tools (Wireshark)
    • Containers (Docker)
    • System monitoring tools (Zabbix, SNMP)
    • Virtualization (ESXi, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization)
    • Data replication and storage (DBRD, NAS/SAN)
    • SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
    • System security management and intrusion detection tools (IdM, SSL, IPSec/VPN, SELinux, AIDE)
    • Telecommunications protocols (SIP/RTP, ED-137)
    • Experience in routing and networking technologies

    Qualifications:

    • BS or MS in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience with IT systems and engineering.
    • 8-10 years' experience in Systems Engineering integrating, deploying, and supporting integrated hardware and software solutions in the area of networking and communications.
    • Proven experience in leading and mentoring system engineering project teams.
    • Demonstrates the ability to implement and apply best-practice system engineering concepts and appropriate risk management to solutions.
    • Able to learn, select, and integrate new technologies into system solutions.

    Special Notations or Conditions of Employment:

    • Must be willing to travel up to 20% depending on project requirements.
      • Customer sites for system installations, testing, on-site troubleshooting as required
      • Internationally to receive equipment or technology training at company headquarters in Vienna, Austria, whenever applicable and possible
    • Finger printing and job-related background check will be required
    • Must be authorized to work in United States and obtain clearances to work on Government sites
