The Medical Records Technician II will ensure physical documentation is accounted for according to the Medicaid/Medicare and organizational guidelines to facilitate payment for services. • Locate and retrieve records to accurately audit and verify patient information.
• Update client charts with information promptly.
• Audit charts, records, and record documentation deficiencies for attending physicians to correct.
• Track the location of charts using appropriate software.

Medical Records Technician II's Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One (1) year of experience utilizing basic office software is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are highly preferred.
