- Participate in ALL event accounting operations including event settlement, preparing journal entries, billing, A/R, A/P, balance sheet reconciliation, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
- Perform month-end close duties for events including GL activity review, expense accrual analysis and recording, cost allocations, and budget to actual reporting
- Work with accounting team to develop a comprehensive GL structure that will account for multi-venue, multi-event type and multi-partner accounting and reporting framework
- Preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analyzing general ledger for month end close
- Assist in all aspects of internal and external financial statement preparation, including compliance with GAAP, GL structure, and adequate system of accounting records
- Work collaboratively with sales, operations, programming, league and legal teams on developing accurate accounting approaches for all revenues and expenses
- Assist with the development of comprehensive financial control processes
- Serve as a technical accounting resource
- Prepare financial support for financial and tax audits, and other reporting/compliance tasks
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Participate in a wide variety of projects and compile ad-hoc reports as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 5+ years of relevant work experience; "Big Four" and/or startup experience a plus
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with the following systems is a plus: Microsoft Great Plains, Altec/Doclink, and VenueOps
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies

Hollywood Park, a near 300-acre sports and entertainment destination, is being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke with the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States. When complete, Hollywood Park will have up to 2,500 residences, a hotel, a retail district reaching up to 890,000 square feet, up to 5 million square feet of office space, and more than 25-acres of public parks and open space.
Home to the Los Angeles Chargers and Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams, SoFi Stadium is the host of world-renowned sporting events, including Super Bowl LVI in 2022, College Football Playoff National Championship game 2023, WrestleMania 2023, World Cup 2026, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics in 2028. As the Accounting Manager, You Will..
Hollywood Park is seeking an experienced accountant that is entrepreneurial and self-motivated, to work alongside our accounting team to help us build and scale our accounting operations, including corporate/event accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and internal control policies and procedures. The accountant will have regular interaction with senior members of the finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will have outstanding financial acumen, a passion for sports, media entertainment, and experience with rapidly growing businesses. The person should have a team player attitude and demonstrate a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines to help us scale, grow and build something great

Compensation:
Salary: $100,000- $120,000
In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate's education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
