- Medical ICU (MICU) setting at a large, academic teaching facility
- Overflow neuro patient population in addition to core MICU cases
- Complex patient cases including multi-system disease, COVID, mechanical ventilation, CRRT, IABP, and ECMO
- Manages multiple titrating drips and critical vent care; required to start IVs
- Epic EMR is used; recent experience required
- 12-hour night shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday
- Block scheduling is not available
- Floating required to SICU, Miller 3, and Miller 4
- 26-week contract
- Provides critical care nursing to a medical ICU patient population with overflow neuro cases
- Bi-weekly orientations begin on Mondays
- Candidates are encouraged to ensure their vehicle is equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required for consideration
- Active VT or Compact RN license (or NY license with proof of pending NY licensure)
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- CCRN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Large, academic teaching facility experience required
- Experience with CRRT, IABP, ECMO, mechanical ventilation, and multiple titrating drips required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year of employment)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Reliable personal transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in this area
