    We are a growing family-owned company, we currently have two Michigan locations. Truck & Trailer Specialties has been serving the public works industry since 1974; our niche is plow trucks We primarily build large municipal trucks: installing and servicing plows, hitches, dump boxes, salt spreaders, wings, scrapers, lift gate, lift axles, etc...

    What You'll Do:

    The Service Technician will support all daily functions of the Howell Fab Shop including but not limited to: Make repairs, fabricate, and modify different types of equipment and vehicles. You'll utilize welders, torches, plasma cutters, shears, punch presses, drill press, and metal cutting saws, fabricate parts as needed, weld ferrous and nonferrous metals using MIG or Arc (electrode), daily communication with shop manager and team leads to assess job processes.

    Schedule:

    Monday - Friday

    7:00 - 5:00

    Saturdays as needed

    7:00 - 11:00am

    · Ability to make repairs to equipment: plows, plow wings, lift gates, dump bodies, and van bodies.

    · Ability to make repairs to hydraulic components and systems including pumps, valves, hoses, scrapers, and filter assemblies.

    · Welding/fabrication is a plus.

    · Mechanical knowledge is a must.

    · Must have Basic 12V electrical knowledge.

    · Mechanical aptitude is a must.

    · Tractor/Trailer experience is a plus.

    · Must have good attendance.
