    Clinician - Day Treatment

    Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000

    Job Summary and Purpose

    Tennyson Center's K-12 Day Treatment School focuses on meeting the individualized needs of children and adolescents. The Day Treatment program integrates social, emotional, behavioral, and academic learning and growth. Our goal is to create a learning environment where children and adolescents feel safe and supported to heal and develop the necessary skills to succeed in a less restrictive setting.

    Tennyson Center is seeking a qualified mental health Clinician to provide individual, family and group therapy, in addition to clinical case management and crisis management to children and adolescents approximately 5-18 years old.

    Essential Job Functions
    • Interest in working with children and adolescents who may have had exposure to traumatic or adverse experiences and/or who may have an intellectual disability, developmental disability, or diagnosis of Autism.
    • Conducts individual, family, and group therapy services.
    • Works collaboratively from intake to discharge with internal and external multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistency and continuity of care for clients and families.
    • Provides clinical case direction and recommendations to teachers and Youth Treatment Counselors.
    • Facilitates monthly child team meetings and external staffing meetings.
    • Actively participates in weekly individual clinical supervision, group supervision, case consultation, and classroom debrief meetings.
    • Maintain up to date documentation and overall quality assurance for assigned clients.
    • Maintains the highest standard of cultural competency in all dealings with clients and staff.
    • Must be willing to support clients in times of crisis.
    Other Job Functions
    • Participates in all-agency meetings and training opportunities.
    • Willingness to employ alternative therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to, art, music, experiential activities, and animal-assisted intervention.
    • Support of clinical interns as appropriate.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to implement behavioral management techniques as needed.
    Working Conditions
    • On-campus environment, school based, and day treatment setting.
    • Position required to be on-site 100% of time.
    • Minimal travel may be required.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Master of Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
    • Maintain up-to-date individual professional license and/or certification.
    • Post-graduate work experience treating children, adolescents and families is preferred.
    • All candidates must have or qualify to obtain a current Colorado drives license.
    All positions require the successful completion of a criminal CBI background check, FBI fingerprint check, State of CO child abuse check (TRAILS), DMV driving record check, pre-employment drug test, pre-employment physical, academic credential verification, and reference check.
