    Who we are:

    Very Good Manufacturing runs beverage production for leading alcohol & alcohol alternative brands. We specialize in distilled spirits and ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, and our high speed canning and bottling lines accommodate all TTB approved sizes and fill levels. We have an on-site R&D Beverage Laboratory for private label concepting & formulation.

    Our company is growing fast: the Fort Worth, Texas production facility tripled in size in 2023, and we are planning multiple facilities for expansion. We are looking for professional, talented and driven individuals to join our team and grow with the company.

    About the role:

    Reporting to the COO, the Director of Operations will oversee the Very Good Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams. This role is responsible for facility output and profitability through revenue generation, cost control, product/quality/safety standards, and employee development.

    Compensation:

    $135,000 - $185,000

    What you'll do:

    • Serve as a member of the executive leadership team to set strategy, influence direction, and facilitate execution of goals and objectives.
    • Define the long-term vision for the Operations organization, integrating the Production, Quality, Warehouse and Maintenance teams.
    • Conduct comprehensive analysis of current processes and resources for each team. Work cross-functionally with each team to develop systems and processes to enable high performance, accountability, and safety.
    • Evaluate production and batching processes and operational work-flow, establish performance metrics, and oversee continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Drive process improvements across the organization, with a focus on: output efficiency, capacity utilization, quality standards, safety procedures, and learning/development opportunities for employees.

    What you'll bring:

    • 10+ years of experience in beverage production operations.
    • Hands-on experience in a production, batching, and/or quality role in an alcohol production facility. Advanced conceptual understanding of manufacturing best practices and beverage production.
    • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to align leaders around a strategic vision while guiding and motivating internal teams towards achieving operational excellence, fostering collaboration, and initiating continuous improvement efforts.
    • Flexible operational mindset: demonstrated ability to engage in long-term planning while also managing short term, on-the-ground initiatives.
    • Advanced proficiency in analyzing complex issues, utilizing data-driven insights to make informed decisions, and implementing effective solutions to overcome operational challenges and enhance performance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
    • Results: Proven empirical track record of excellence in operational roles.
