    Who You'll Work With:

    We are looking for a Data Strategy Lead to support our US Retail business on the Business Intelligence team. The Business Intelligence team provides advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting to drive strategic decisions and enhance sales throughout the US Retail sales organization. This role will enable and execute data strategy and integration (both internal and third party) to deliver data to our sales and sales leadership teams in a meaningful and actionable way. The AVP, Data Strategy Lead will work with sales teams, leveraging data to grow existing relationships and seek out opportunities for new business; clearly communicating insights to key stakeholders, including the US Retail sales leadership team. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented leader, comfortable with ambiguity and excited to chart a course of data delivery that will have measurable business impact.

    What You'll Do

    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Serving as the liaison between internal data teams at AB and third-party data vendors to enable and execute both short-and long-term data strategy solutions
    • Establishing a process to identify, evaluate and intake new data sources and data sets
    • Overseeing data strategies. Ensuring efficient collection, storage, transformation, governance, and analysis
    • Developing and communicating insights to senior stakeholders to drive strategic decisions, partnering closely with different functions, including the Distribution Enablement and Intelligence team
    • Fostering a data-driven culture by demonstrating deep understanding of US Retail distribution and generating ideas to apply data to support achievement of strategic business objectives
    • Development and implementation of data visualizations and sales enablement assets
    • Partnering with AB's technology team to implement data governance and enhance data quality
    What We're Looking For:

    The ideal candidate should have:
    • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field with 5-7 years of experience - advanced degrees (MS/MBA) preferred
    • 5+ years' experience in a data-related field - developing analytical strategies, business intelligence capabilities, and overall 'data driven decision making' roadmap development
    • Background in US Retail distribution in the asset management industry and associated third party data sources:
      • DST Walletshare
      • Firm Data Packs
      • Envestnet
      • Discovery
      • BrightScope
      • Broadridge
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and delivery timelines
    • A strong track record of successfully leading and implementing large and complex projects
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate across departments/levels to develop solutions and influence outcomes
    • Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
    • Strong understanding of modern data platforms and designs
    • Expertise with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and MicroStrategy
    • Experience with SQL and Excel is highly desired
