Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server Assistant to join our evening service team. This role is vital in supporting the front-of-house operations, ensuring guests receive exceptional service in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food service or related roles. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic team dedicated to guest satisfaction and culinary excellence.
Duties
- Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
- Support food preparation and presentation as needed, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Handle food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health standards
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing support
- Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet or special event areas when required
- Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of food from preparation to serving
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, banquet, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with food preparation, bussing, and basic cooking is advantageous
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
- Hospitality or hotel experience is beneficial but not required
- Must be available for evening shifts and able to work flexible hours during peak times
