Summary

Athena Bitcoin is looking for a CTO in our Miami, Florida office. You will lead our technology department, setting the strategic direction for our company's technological development and innovation. You will oversee our engineering teams, ensure the alignment of technology strategy with our business goals, and help foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a cohesive technology strategy that supports the company's business objectives and enhances product offerings.
• Direct the Research & Development (R&D) endeavors.
• Oversee the development and deployment of secure, scalable technology solutions.
• Manage the technology budget and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, systems, and best practices.
• Lead cybersecurity efforts to safeguard our systems and customers' assets.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centric product development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, cybersecurity, and data protection laws.
• Collaborate with other C-suite executives to align technology initiatives with business strategies.
• Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact.
• Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, staying updated on emerging threats.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cybersecurity-aware technical team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or in a similar leadership role in the fintech industry.
• Strong technical background with experience in software development, architecture, and cloud services.
• Demonstrated success in leading and scaling technology teams and initiatives.
• Deep understanding of the fintech ecosystem, cryptographic principles, blockchain, regulatory compliance, and data security.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic technology plans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster innovation, prioritize tasks, and manage complex projects.
