    The New Goods Manager is responsible for the operation of Goodwill SF Bay's new goods business. This includes managing the sourcing capabilities and associated supply chain including the planning, buying, and distribution of new products. Under the direction of the VP of Ecommerce and Innovation, the New Goods Manager will define and execute product assortment plans, establish Vendor partnerships, and work cross-functionally to achieve sales/margin goals. This position will be located in our South San Francisco warehouse.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee the purchasing, distribution, and receipt of Goodwill's new goods program
    • Strategically identify and purchase new goods products for Retail and Ecommerce channels to drive revenue growth
    • Manage efficient receipt of goods into our warehouse including pricing strategies
    • Efficiently distribute goods to all lines of business and manage replenishment of product
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail, Transportation, Ecommerce, and other key partners
    • Drive revenue and margin growth through a consistent flow of quality product and monitoring revenue/expenses
    • Stay abreast of customer trends, the marketplaces we play in, and supply/demand
    • Effectively supervise, train, and motivate the new goods team and transitional employees including setting performance expectations
    • Occasional travel required to attend buying events and meet with vendors/suppliers as well as Goodwill Retail Stores
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Requirements
    • College degree and/or minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandise planning, buying or another related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading and supervising the work of a team
    • Ability to demonstrate examples of successful product acquisition and budget management
    • Strong project management, mathematics, and analytical skills
    • Proficiency and previous experience with retail POS hardware, operating systems and/or inventory control systems
    • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
    • Customer obsessed focus to identify and deliver the most appropriate product and service to our end-user
    • Experience with Microsoft products
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to take initiative and independently problem solve
    • Fine motor coordination and visual acuity required
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs
    • Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse group of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds
