    Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced Information Security Monitoring & Detection Lead to supervise cyber security staff in NASA's Security Operations Center (SOC). The position will have to obtain a US government security clearance due to the company's contract with NASA.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Supervise a team monitoring Agency systems for incidents and malicious activity in a 24/7/365 Security Operations Center (SOC).
    2. Provide technical guidance and leadership for the analysis of security events and identification of relevant incidents.
    3. Develop and maintain a SOC Analyst training and certification program.
    4. Update and maintain the SOC Analyst runbook, processes, and procedures.
    5. Generate high-quality reports.
    6. Coordinate with Tier 1 and Tier 3 teams while providing incident handling and response support for the agency.
    7. Contribute to SOC projects, process improvement, and development of new capabilities.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
    2. 7+ years of progressive experience with increasing responsibilities within a Security Operations environment.
    3. Experience managing staff in a technical operations center environment.
    4. Experience developing and documenting operational procedures.
    5. Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
    6. Broad information security knowledge, including familiarity with common attack methodologies and protocols.
    7. Significant experience in network intrusion detection using common tools - IDS, IPS, SIEM, and Syslog.
    8. Experience with packet capture analysis and common network forensics tools - Wireshark, Kali, Netcat, TCPDump, and NMAP.
    9. Familiarity with incident management procedures.
    10. Possess a strong foundation in networking fundamentals.
    11. Knowledge of common network-based services and client/server applications.
    12. Familiarity in a command line environment.
    13. Ability to obtain a government clearance (US Citizenship is required).

    Desired Skills:

    1. Experience managing staff in a mission-critical security operations center.
    2. Experience with enterprise-level security incident event management tools.
    3. CISSP, CEH, GIAC, OSCP certifications are desired.
