Job summary
The University of Southern California Office of International Services (OIS) seeks an international student advisor to work with our F-1 international student population. The ideal candidate will have prior work experience in the field of international education, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and exhibit an interest in cross-cultural and intercultural communication.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of front-line customer service and intake advising, including in-person, by phone, by email, and via video calls
- Advise students concerning U.S. immigration regulations and USC policy; resolve routine and complex issues
- Perform the primary functions of a Designated School Official (DSO) in the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS)
