    Description

    Essential Functions:

    Responsible for custodial duties in the YMCA facilities and areas as assigned to include: restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, stairwells, program rooms, fitness centers, grounds and any other designated areas.

    In the summer season, assist with building/equipment repairs and general maintenance. Fall/winter/spring seasons prepare cabins and lodges for incoming guests and assist in projects in preparation for summer camp season.
    Perform manual and semi-skilled work such as moving equipment, cleaning, trash removal and landscaping.
    Ability to use hand and power tools.

    Unloading, moving and/or refilling supplies including:
    firewood, deliveries/mail, tools, mulch, cleaning supplies, and bathroom products.
    Document all completed work at the end of each workday.


    Minimum Requirements:
    Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
    Must be able to work independently and exercise appropriate judgement.
    Ability to drive work van, pick-up truck, gator, and/or skid steer.
    Experience in custodial duties required.
    Must be available to work a varied schedule. This may require working early morning, over-night and/or weekend hours.
    Must be cooperative and compatible and able to work as a team player with campers, guests, staff and vendors.
    Must be able to articulate and lead by example the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.


    Physical Requirements:
    Able to withstand periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.


    Preferred Qualification:
    Multi-LingualEnjoy working outdoorsExperience using and working with a variety of hand and power tools.
    Basic knowledge in painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
