- Leads and models an enthusiastic and courageous approach to problem solving
- Works on new product ideas
- Creates strategies to differentiate H-EB from competition and improve customer loyalty including new ideas & products
- Effective in managing cost components on key items
- Proactively studies their business
- Builds collaborative relationships with suppliers
- Creates tailored assortment and merchandising plans for execution
- Leads crossfunctional teams across Pricing, Retailing Services, Supply Chain, Own Brand, Sourcing, Shelf Edge, Product Information, and other related areas.
- Develops pricing and promotion strategies Participates in corporate promotions
- Oversees and works collaboratively with Supply Chain Partners on the execution of all aspects of supply chain
- Communicates effectively with all other functional departments (CoEs)
- Works within work processes and influences improvements
- Understands complexities of all aspects of product/commodity ('Seed to Stomach' in applicable categories)
- Adapts to change and exudes a positive attitude with a willingness to take on new opportunities.
