- Up to $6,750 Sign-On Bonus
- Has an advanced understanding of the Nurse Practice Process including assessment, planning, documentation, and evaluation of the Med/Surg/Peds patient which they use while providing direct care including the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs of the patient and family.
- Acts as a resource to other team members including students.
- Follows recommended infection control procedures during contact with patients.
- Is constantly vigilant to the safety needs of patients, taking necessary precautions as warranted.
- Is knowledgeable in the use of physical restraints.
- Keeps current on nursing theory, research, medications, and legal issues related to patient care services.
- Conforms to the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provides oversight to the LPN's.
- Answers patient call lights and addresses patient needs.
- Collects, interprets, and documents in the EMR and communicates appropriately pertinent data that is relevant to the patient's care with other members of the health care team.
- Reports malfunctioning equipment promptly and removes this from the patient care area to maintain a safe environment.
- Participates in and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maybe required to float to the Intensive Care Unit as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- RN License in Minnesota
- BLS Certification
- PEARS
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training will be provided with recertification required every two years
- Trauma Training is completed in house and needs to be completed by end of orientation
- Verbalizes role in public address codes
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Outlook. Patient Information Database (Cerner)

Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse is a health care professional who is skilled in all aspects of the nursing process.
They are adaptable to the myriad of needs of the individual and family during health and illness and have the ability to prioritize.
The RN is responsible for the direction of staff members assigned to them.The RN is responsible and accountable for the delivery of individualized nursing care to the acutely and chronically ill patients and those patients having surgical intervention.
