- Paid Summer Staff Training, including but not limited to:
- Mental Health First Aide Certification
- First Aide/CPR Certification (current or willingness to obtain via Girl Scouts)
- Customer/Guest Service
- Communication/Organization Skills

- Living on camp during summer season
- Food is provided during training and when camp is in session
- Observe and evaluate Unit Counselors, writing evaluations and ensuring weekly paperwork gets done and submitted
- Plan and conduct activities to achieve staff and camper development objectives
- Observe and assess camper and staff behavior for appropriateness, enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques regarding compliance with all camp policies
- Participate in all aspects of camp life, including songs, meals, nature hikes, overnight camping trips, activities, campfire, staff training, meetings, clean-up of camp, and camp closing
- Complete paperwork in a timely fashion, including but not limited to food and equipment requests, Incident Reports, evaluations, and weekly schedules
- Carry out established duties regarding camper health, safety, and program goals
- Perform daily check-ins with staff in assigned areas of the camp
- Set a good example by demonstrating maturity, good communication, cleanliness, punctuality, sportsmanship, sharing, and following camp policy among other traits
- Encourage respect for self, others, personal property, and the environment
- Elevate unit staff concerns to camp management for appropriate resolution
- 18+
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain via Girl Scouts
- Ability to supervise staff
- Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards
- Ability to hike 5 miles of uneven terrain, with a 25-pound pack
- 25 years of age
- Previous experience working in an overnight camp setting
- Previous experience supervising/managing staff
- Experience with team building techniques
- Experience leading/teaching various camp activities including but not limited to: hiking, outdoor cooking, canoeing, archery, mountain biking, arts and crafts, etc.
- Valid Driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a 12-passenger van

This summer, Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW) is offering the exciting opportunity for staff to experience summer at a beautiful lakefront camp property in Western Washington. Camp staff will live on-site Camp St. Albans, at the base of the Olympic mountains on Lake Devereaux in Allyn, Washington. Camp staff will attend paid staff training.
The Unit Coordinator plays an important role in setting the tone of camp, supporting Unit Counselors, supervising staff members, and making the summer camp season fun and run smoothly. They work within assigned areas of the camp, overseeing and helping with camper and staff activities.
Unit Coordinators support Unit Counselors with scheduling activities, campers missing home, retrieving needed supplies, assisting in teaching activities, and ensuring that staff have all the support they need to succeed. This position is responsible for elevating staff challenges and concerns to the camp management team for appropriate resolutions. Unit Coordinators will also assist with staff training, evaluations, and camp opening and closing activities. This position lives in an outdoor unit with other staff and campers while participating in all aspects of camp life.
