    Preconstruction Manager

    Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Preconstruction Manager.

    The Preconstruction Manager will play a vital role in the early stages of our projects, working closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project planning and execution.

    This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of construction processes and cost estimation.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules based on project specifications and requirements
    • Review design documents, drawings, and specifications to identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and costsaving measures
    • Source and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating proposals and negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to project timelines
    • Coordinate and assure that a preliminary construction schedule has been developed for each estimate
    • Visit ongoing projects to verify status of estimate versus project status, meet with the project operations team, view work in place for experience and comparison to the estimate
    • Keep current on changes and trends in methods of construction and materials, construction costs, wage rates, fringes and working rules
    • Assure that potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with senior management (i.e. Peer Review, if required, contract bond authorization, contract review, insurance review, etc.)
    Job Requirements

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
    • 2+ years of experience as Assistant Preconstruction Manager or a similar role within the construction industry
    • Proficiency in construction estimating software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
    • Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance
