DescriptionTITLE: Chief Clinical Dietitian
REPORTS TO: Food Service Director / Regional Dietitian
GENERAL DUTIES:
Responsible for assuring the clinical nutritional care system for patients/residents is implemented and effective.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the nutrition care program of patients/residents which includes the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and delivery of nutritional services.
- Provides staffing, supervision, and in-service training for clinical staff.
- Maintains Quality Assurance for the clinical program.
- Represents the department by participating in all related interdisciplinary meetings of the facility.
- Conducts regular Test Tray and Tray Accuracy evaluations in conjunction with Food Service Director and Regional Dietitian.
- Available to Food Service Director and facility to provide in-service education to staff, as needed.
- Evaluates the delivery of meals and nourishments to patients/residents throughout the period of food service operation.
- Prepares and extends cycle menus according to the Diet Manual.
- Assists the Food Service Director in developing and reviewing department policies and procedures.
- Supports sanitation program of department to meet health regulations.
- Participates in community outreach activities as needed by the facility.
- Responsible for continued professional development. Keeps informed about current professional, managerial, and clinical developments.
- Remains flexible in assuming new or diverse responsibilities and exhibits a willingness to learn attitude in approaching new duties.
- Keeps credentials current through continuing education and maintains ADA membership or registration/licensure status.
- Supports and participates in company's training programs.
