    The Job Role


    The role of 'Head of Managed Accounts' is a key appointment for our business, playing a crucial role in leading our account management team.

    This is a demanding role which will require drive, ambition, enthusiasm and creativity, combined with a high level of technical skills such as selling, negotiation, forecasting and commercial acumen.


    The portfolio comes with a degree of complexity so the right person will have a strong analytical understanding, commercial modelling skills and have experience of leading sustainable change within teams or companies.


    The successful appointment will have a growth mindset, self-starter determination, be able to demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking, and a desire to deliver results.

    Main tasks and responsibilities

    Leading the Account Management team:
    managing client portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulations, fostering client relationships, contributing to the overall success and growth of the business

    Implementing short and long-term strategies for increased client retention, improving client relationships, and driving revenue growth from existing accounts

    Leading interactions with the most strategic accounts. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to suggest product or service improvements responsive to client feedback and industry trends

    Reviewing and improving key elements of the department such as sales messaging strategies and customer journey

    Establishing data collection and monitoring processes that accurately reflect the status and health of accounts and suggest tactical response

    Coaching, supporting, and developing the team, monitoring their success and conducting regular performance reviews

    Facilitating targeted action plans to resolve issues and maintain client satisfaction

    Keep abreast of the latest trends, regulations, and advancements in sustainability to guide their continuous improvement efforts

    What we would love to see from you:


    Commercially focussed:
    broad knowledge of corporate approaches to sustainability and ESG, keeps up-to-date with industry changes and trends. A sharp mind attuned to commercial and financial details, with strong experience of forecasting, reporting and tender preparation.


    Confident communicator:


    excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation and presenting ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.


    Multitasking maestro:
    resilient project management skills to keep the team on track to deliver on multiple initiatives with finesse.


    Leader:


    proven success as a line manager would be beneficial or experience of supporting the development or coaching of junior professionals.


    Competency:
    confident with CRM software and related sales processes, as well as MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint essential). Analytical

    prowess and a talent for transforming data into actionable insights for our customers and AM team.


    Flexibility:
    importantly, you will need a willingness to travel and work flexibly


    Experience:


    demonstrable success in account management environments, building and developing strong client relationships, preferably in waste management or facilities management sectors.
