    Contract Type Regular (US only) Work pattern Full time Position Location Los Angeles, CA Job Description Mott MacDonald is seeking Construction Managers who will oversee and manage infrastructure improvement projects such as Airports, Roadways, Bridges, Dams, Channels, Pump Stations, Waterworks, and Sewers within County of Los Angeles.

    The ideal candidate will possess experience managing the design and construction of infrastructure projects through various phases including planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, environmental permitting, construction, and close-out.

    The CM Will Administer The Provisions Of The Contract While Acting As a Representative Of Client, And Will Perform Tasks As Directed By Client, Including But Not Limited To The Following

    Assist with advertise, bid opening, bid analysis, award for Job Order Contract (JOC) projects
    Prepare and update the checklists and task lists (before bid opening to award) (after award to execution of contract)
    Prepare and assist with contract execution process
    Prepare and assist with responses such as status inquiries and contract compliance for all projects
    Assist with JOC capacity and work orders
    Upload items such as project plans, specs, Notice of Inviting Bids (NIB), Bid Proposal (BP), Instructions to Bidders (ITB), Bidders Responsibility Questionnaire (BRQ) (if necessary)
    Candidate Specification

    Candidates Are Required To Possess The Following

    Minimum 5 years of construction management and concurrent field construction experience

    Candidates are required to have at least 10 years of progressive experience in managing municipal infrastructure projects through permitting, construction, and close-out.

    Candidates with experience managing/constructing roadway infrastructure will be given preference
    Licensed professional engineer in state of California or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
    Education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
    Effective oral and written communication skills
    Work experience in project planning and development
    Ability to independently manage all aspects of a project
    Ability to develop and control project scope
    Ability to develop and maintain project budgets
    Ability to develop and review project schedules
    Skilled in reviewing and coordinating the preparation of construction documents
    Ability to effectively facilitate project team and client meetings
    Ability to effectively negotiate and prepare change orders
    Ability to effectively monitor and coordinate construction activities with the various project stakeholders
    Ability to adapt and respond effectively to project issues and challenges
    Ability to set and manage project expectations
    Must be knowledgeable in CEQA/NEPA
    Experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery desirable
    Experience with Design-Bid-Build project delivery desirable
    Experience with Deferred Maintenance/Refurbishment projects desirable
    Knowledge of Public Contracting Code and practices

    Salary Range:
