    Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Job – Night Shift Contract | Zanesville, OH

    Med/Surg travel RN night shift opportunity at an on-site facility in Zanesville, OH—13-week contract. Join an adult Med/Surg team with a primary respiratory assignment.

    Travel Nursing Job Details

    • Location: Zanesville, OH on-site)
    • Unit/Setting: Adult Med/Surg (primary assignment on Respiratory unit; may float to other Med/Surg areas)
    • Start Date: 03/16/2026
    • End Date: 06/15/2026
    • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel contract)
    • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
    • Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
    • Hours per Week: 36
    • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
    • On-Call: No call required

    Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

    • Experience: Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience (must be able to interpret telemetry rhythms)
    • Licensure: Active Ohio RN license
    • Certification: Active BLS (AHA)
    • EMR: Current Epic proficiency required (must be fully proficient upon arrival)
    • Skills: Strong assessment, prioritization, and patient education skills; comfort floating between Med/Surg units as needed

    Med/Surg RN Responsibilities (Night Shift)

    • Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, with primary focus on respiratory patient populations
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
    • Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and complete comprehensive assessments and reassessments
    • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, discharges, and patient/family education
    • Document accurately and efficiently in the facility's EMR, following unit and facility standards
    • Float as needed to other Med/Surg areas while maintaining quality and safety
    • Maintain compliance with infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and unit protocols
