    Description: SURFMEPP's BAWP Planners utilize Navy maintenance databases, local procedures and the Class Maintenance Plan to build and manage baseline maintenance packages in support of Surface Navy maintenance availabilities. This work includes multiple secondary functions such as (but not limited to): Preparing and presenting informational briefs, performing quality assurance checks on multiple SURFMEPP products, updating databases and providing inputs for status reports. Additionally, the BAWP Planner for the Amphibious Classes will have the opportunity to lead various working groups as assigned.

    Requirements:
    • Applicants must have the following minimum skills and knowledge:
    • High School Diploma or GED is required.
    • 7 - 10 years of relevant professional experience
    • DOD SECRET Security Clearance
    • Physical ability to perform shipboard inspections to include climbing ladders and entering voids, tanks and other confined spaces.
    • U.S. Navy ship depot level maintenance planning process, either from a shipboard requirement or a Class Maintenance Plan perspective.
    • Experience with Ship or Industrial Repair Maintenance
    • Drafting and Presenting recommendations to Leadership and other stakeholders
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • ​​​​​​Use of MS Office Suite tools with particular focus on intermediate MS Excel skills
    • Drafting and delivering technical presentations
    • Appropriate written and verbal communication skills to interact with U.S. Navy personnel
    • Proficiency in Navy automated information systems used in surface ship maintenance scheduling, such as: M&SWP, VSB, NMD, NDE and other maintenance databases.
    • Metric development and analysis
    Travel: Occasional Travel

    Work Status: Full Time

    Salary: $56,000 – $59,000
