Job description
Our client, a well-established regional Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier, is seeking an experienced Inside Homeowners Property Claims Examiner to assist with increased claim volume throughout the Northeast region. This role will focus primarily on desk handling of residential property claims, with a strong emphasis on file movement, coverage analysis, and estimate review. The team is currently experiencing elevated volume, particularly with roof-related losses, and is looking for a strong desk examiner with Guidewire and Xactimate experience who can step in, move files efficiently, and maintain high-quality claim handling standards. This person will have the ability to work fully remote but will require high-speed internet access Key Responsibilities:- Manage homeowners property claims from assignment through resolution
- Handle claims primarily within the $20k – $200K range, with exposure up to $500K
- Review contractor and IA estimates, formulate action plans, and administer settlements
- Maintain steady file movement in a high-volume environment
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal leadership
- Document files thoroughly and ensure compliance with company standards
- Utilize Guidewire, ImageRight, and Xactimate
- 5 years of Homeowners Property Claims experience
- Must have experience working as an Inside Staff Property Claims Examiner for an Insurance Carrier
- Strong knowledge in Guidewire, ImageRight, and Xactimate experience is required
- Well versed in being a strong 1st party property desk examiner with demonstrated ability to manage volume
- Active Adjuster's License is strongly preferred
- Experience reviewing estimates and administering settlements
- Familiarity with ISO and/or Manuscript policy forms
- Experience in high-volume claim environments strongly preferred
- $ $50.00 per hour (with potential for OT)
- Ability to work fully remote
