    Description
    Our Client, an association of two or more individuals companies, is seeking an Cybersecurity Consultant

    Location: New York, NY

    Position Type: IT Full Time

    What you'll do:
    • Lead engagements with new and existing customers focused on technically verifiable strengths and weaknesses of their cybersecurity programs
    • Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan
    • Translate technical findings into easily understood reports
    • Make recommendations based on industry accepted best practices, personal experience, and collaborative conversations with peers within Client Networks and within the cybersecurity industry
    • Assist with special projects as needed

    About you:
    • Significant cybersecurity experience in an engineering, ethical hacking, penetration testing, red teaming, or threat management role
    • Experience with common attack patterns and exploitation techniques. Ability to write fully functional exploits for common vulnerabilities such as simple stack overflow, cross-site scripting, or SQL injection
    • Experience in managing information security events and incidents for large, sophisticated networks
    • Experience communicating outside of the IT and cybersecurity team (e.g. to CFO, CRO, board of directors, legal, and external auditors/regulators)
    • Ability to apply network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth)
    • Experience with cloud migration projects
    • technical knowledge of systems in a multi-tenant cloud environment
    • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects for large and complex organizations
    • Experience with cloud security tools
    • Experience with cybersecurity attack simulation and controls validation tools (e.g. Atomic Red Team, Scythe, Prelude Operator, MITRE Caldera, Vectr, PurpleSharp)
    • A strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
    • Experience managing vulnerability scans and prioritizing results
    • Experience with threat modeling methodologies
    • Experience evaluating security products for purchase including developing use cases, success criteria, and participating in proof of concept / proof of value demonstrations
    • Experience developing API specifications

    Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity risk analysis and management
    • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy concepts
    • Knowledge of software development concepts and ability to communicate clearly with developers and business leaders
    • Demonstrated experience using, and expert knowledge of, industry standard security models (e.g. NIST CSF, ISO27001, MITRE ATT&CK)
    • Demonstrated experience using, and expert knowledge of, computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies
    • Proven ability to work independently with little direction to achieve goals
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
    • Ability to excel in fast-paced environment
    • Interest in new and emerging information technology (IT) and cybersecurity technologies
    • Ability to prepare and present briefings
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities

    Salary Range: $100,000 - $250,000
