    BrightStar of Louisville, KY is looking for experienced Registered Nurses (RN), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide professional skilled nursing care in a skilled nursing environment. This role requires the teamwork of all skilled professionals to develop care plans for assigned patients and administer medications. Our ideal candidates will be a currently licensed RNs or LPNs that can conduct client nursing assessments, foster positive relationships with patients and staff members and respond effectively to the changing needs of the seniors we serve in long-term care, and rehab facilities.

    Responsibilities:
    • Admit new residents and coordinate care plans with other medical professionals
    • Assist physicians during residential walk-throughs
    • Monitor and delegate duties to non-licensed nursing staff
    • Perform ongoing physical and mental health assessments for residents
    • Explain procedures and treatment protocols to residents
    • Measure vital signs and collect fluid samples
    • Administer intravenous medications and monitor treatment
    • Dress wounds
    • Maintain patient records, observe and document patient health
    • Assist patients with personal hygiene
    • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • The ability to remain calm under pressure
    • Efficiency and organizational skills
    • Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
    • Stable work history in healthcare, staffing, home-care or a related field
    • Computer skills and knowledge
    • Technical aptitude to understand, learn and master business software(s)
    Proven Attributes:

    • Ability to multi task in fast paced work environment
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage stressful situations
    • Provides excellent and professional customer service skills and a positive, patient and friendly attitude
    • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and remain HIPAA compliant
    • Ability to establish highly productive and detailed organizational skills/habits
    • Ability to actively listen and problem solve with cooperation, assertiveness, flexibility for positive outcomes
    • Demonstrates reliability towards their team and a strong commitment to the overall business goals.
    Requirements:
    • Valid Driver's Licence w/ insured and reliable automobile
    • Minimum of One (1) Year of documented caregiver or Home Care Assistance experience is required
    • Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen
    • Ability to pass a FBI Background Check; no recent DUI's
    • Clear the Nurse Abuse Registry Background
    • Certified CPR and negative TB Skin Test or Chest X-ray
    • Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
