Highway Maintenance Wkr - Manitowoc - Manitowoc County

Join our team and work 4 Day work weeks (M-Th 10hrs/day): May - October
Monday - Friday (8 hrs/day): November - April

Pay commensurate with experience.

Wage consideration will be given for candidates considered "Experienced Operators". To be considered an "Experienced Operator" for this position applicant must have 2 or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Track or Rubber Tire Backhoe operating experience (Digging at grade)
• Road Grader operating experience
• Dozer operating experience
• Track or Wheel Skid loader operating experience

Working for the Manitowoc County Highway Department, this position:

• Performs road maintenance and snow removal, and maintains right of way.
• Maintains highway right-of-ways; mows grass, cuts trees and brush, repairs washouts, sprays weeds, and picks up trash.
• Operates snow removal equipment.
• Performs maintenance duties i.e., erects snow fences, shovels bridges patches pot holes, fills cracks, repairs and replaces guard railings, posts, bridges, and markers

Requirements

A high school diploma or any combination of education and work experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position. A Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
