    Data Scientist IV



    Department: Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy



    About the Job: Join our team as a Data Scientist IV at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. In this role, located in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy (POP), you will support research efforts within the Center for Drug Evaluation and Safety (CoDES) to enhance evidence on the safety, effectiveness, and value of medications and medical products in real-world populations.



    • Designing data science pipelines to improve real-world data quality (RWD) in CoDES
    • Developing data processing and analytical plans
    • Performing data analyses and interpreting results
    • Leading data management processing for projects and setting goals for technical staff
    • Collaborating with diverse experts in health data science research
    • Mentoring and developing junior research team members
    • Contributing to scientific grants, papers, and journal articles

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Designing data science pipelines for RWD enhancement
    • Developing data processing and analytical plans
    • Performing data analyses and interpreting results
    • Leading data management processing and setting goals for staff
    • Collaborating with diverse experts across research portfolios
    • Mentoring and guiding junior team members
    • Contributing to scientific publications


    Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in data science or related field with 3-7 years of experience



    Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate complex data effectively. Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, and R. Experience with machine learning frameworks and public health research.
