    Trade Compliance


    department, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and advice to ensure that the Company remains fully compliant with all export and import laws and regulations applicable to the Company's business.

    Reporting to the General Counsel, the ideal candidate is a detailed oriented, effective communicator, with a thorough knowledge of the

    Export Administration Regulations (

    EAR) and experience working with BIS, OFAC, and other regulatory agencies.


    Responsibilities:
    Conduct internal audits, provide feedback and guidance to improve and maintain satisfactory compliance
    Maintain export-related record keeping functions for the Company, as required by law
    Administer multiple accounts on ACE Portal, including monitor and support AES filings, EEI corrections, AES verification, compliance, late, and rejected messages
    Serve as point of contact administrator for Company ACE users to reset accounts and passwords
    Perform commodity jurisdiction and classification
    Handle BIS, OFAC, and Customs correspondence as required
    Responsible for EAR export license applications and license exceptions in the U.S., in addition to monitoring the U.K. export licensing program and use of the license
    Maintain export licensing and license exception records in the Company's database
    Coordinate with program personnel to obtain export/import application information and review provisos on licenses and agreements to ensure business and customer requirements can be met by the license or agreement
    Draft and update Trade Compliance training, procedures and processes and other materials
    Be thoroughly familiar with the laws, rules, and regulations applicable in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia
    Periodically review sanctions and embargo rules and regulations to ensure compliance
    Administer the Company's annual Trade Compliance training at branch and corporate level
    Request, receive, and review "Know Your Customer" (KYC) information for customer/vendor screening and approval
    Create and/or update compliance forms in accordance with regulatory developments and enforcement in export control and sanctions
    Work closely with the Company's sales, shipping, logistics, and external customers to create solutions that enable the Company to be compliant with applicable regulations and clear import and export shipments
    Identify, interpret, and inform all team members of applicable regulatory requirements to ensure appropriate compliance activities are in place
    Handle and conduct global Denied Party Screening Process at branch and corporate level
    Review and maintain ACE Reports to ensure shipments are being exported in compliance with the U.S. export regulations
    Provide export compliance guidance to branch and corporate employees at all levels, including on how to respond to customer and government inquiries
    Interact with domestic and international supplier/vendors, 3PL, transportation and customs brokers as necessary to clear shipments
    Set goals and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and requirements are met

    Strong knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and a good understanding of the ITAR
    Experience with aircraft and engine parts and nomenclature
    Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Outlook) and internet research
    Willing to act as a mentor to train junior team members

    Qualifications:

    10+ years' experience
    CUSECO certification (Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer) required
    Licensed Customs Broker preferred
