    Job Description

    The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to adults with complex cardiac conditions and those requiring close monitoring.

    The RN will manage a varied patient population, administering medications and treatments, and performing various procedures as needed.

    Responsibilities

    Monitor and assess patients' conditions while providing critical care support.

    Administer IV medications, including cardiac and insulin drips.

    Perform EKGs and manage post-cardiac catheterization care.

    Coordinate with the healthcare team to implement patient's care plans.

    Prepare and assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring patient safety.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Progressive Care or Telemetry unit.

    Current certifications:
    BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

    Active RN license in New York required at the time of submission.

    Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years is necessary.
