Summary Of PositionThe position will be responsible for the leadership and administrative management of the New Hampshire Maine Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Programs ( LEND ) and administration of grants and contracts in early intervention and early childhood education.
Funding for LEND is awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration through a competitive application process every 5 years.
The successful applicant will be expected to secure research/training funding to support the remainder of the annual salary. The Assistant Research Professor will join the IOD's multi-disciplinary team of faculty.Additional Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated contribution to the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Knowledge of and experience in the early childhood sector (infant mental health, early childhood special education, early intervention). Ability to collaborate with individuals and groups of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation, disability, and/or ethnic backgrounds.
Knowledge of key federal and state policies and programs that impact the lives of people with disabilities (Medicaid, Social Security, Education, Labor, Housing, etc.) Ability to design, conduct, and evaluate independent research and supervise all phases of project for which responsible.
Publication record, including peer reviewed publications, which reflects experience in relevant areas of disability policy and services, with a commensurate research funding history.
Lived experience and/or connection to disability. Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.Additional Job Information
