Full-time / 40 hours per week / 1st shift

Summary:

Practices in a variety of pharmaceutical care settings including inpatient medical surgical, critical care, medication safety, administration, infectious diseases, and other patient care areas.

Formal Education Required:
a. Doctor of Pharmacy

b.

In the absence of 1, must have minimum education of BS in pharmacy and demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities.

c. Licensed or license eligible by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio


Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Advanced clinical pharmacy skills

b. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.

c. Working knowledge of pharmacy law

d. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and departmental records

Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa:

f. Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure
