Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our highly dedicated team. As an Orthodontic Assistant at Drake Orthodontics, you will play a critical role in helping us create beautiful smiles and build lasting relationships with our patients.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide chairside assistance to our orthodontist during procedures. You will work directly with our patients, providing them with the care and support they need throughout their orthodontic journey. Your tasks may include:

• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for each patient
• Assisting the orthodontist during various orthodontic procedures
• Taking impressions and X-rays to aid in treatment planning
• Providing post-treatment care instructions to patients
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records

Requirements

We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for orthodontics and patient care. To succeed in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Orthodontic experience: Previous experience working as an orthodontic assistant is not necessary. We are willing to train the right fit.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in taking impressions, X-rays, and utilizing orthodontic software is highly desirable. Familiarity with handling various orthodontic materials and instruments is a plus.
• Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build rapport with our patients. You must be capable of providing compassionate care and maintaining a calm and reassuring demeanor during procedures.
• Organizational abilities: Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are important to ensure efficient workflows.
• Team player: We value teamwork and collaboration. You must be able to work harmoniously with other members of the dental team and contribute to a positive work environment.
