Commensurate with certification and experience based on the Wicomico County Certificated Salary Scale. Includes employee benefits package.


HOURS
Full time 10-month position (190 contract days). Position requires some days worked in the summer to provide continuous year-round services

Contract Unit:
This position is part of the Unit I (Certificated) bargaining unit.


FLSA:
Exempt


QUALIFICATIONS

At the time of the application, candidate must hold or be eligible for a current license from the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.

Leadership and personal qualities necessary to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, other providers and administrators.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide services to children in a variety of natural environment settings including but not exclusive to homes and childcare settings.

Plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for children and families based on needs and concerns identified on the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), extended IFSP and/or Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Monitor and evaluate child/family outcomes based on needs and priorities as defined by the IFSP or IEP.

Communicate and interact with children, parents, staff and community representatives.

Conduct assessments of children and complete appropriate reports.

Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.

Comply with requirements to document child and family progress, and complete appropriate documentation for Medical Assistance billing for service coordination.
