    JOB SUMMARY: The Director, HR – Team Member Engagement & Initiatives will partner with key stakeholders and internal subject matter experts to strategize, develop, and help drive engagement through informational resources, activities, programs, and initiatives that impact the Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) Team Member population and/or the HR community.

    The Director will act as a knowledgeable resource on HR and/or Team Member perspectives and processes for other functional partners, such as Legal, Parks Technology, Corporate Communications, etc., as various programs are being considered and developed. They will also lead projects for the HR community, which may include various alignment efforts and procedural/system enhancements across the enterprise, including: emergency preparedness & disaster recovery planning, transformational HR and change management support, etc.
    This role will work closely with HR colleagues at all levels to help build project teams and consensus across the division.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify and provide direction for HR-related projects whereby HR Initiatives will be called upon to lead and support internal teams, procure stakeholder buy-in, meet deadlines, and stay within approved budgets. Identify ways to measure impact and success of improvements, enhancements, and changes.
    • Knowledgeable and current on business changes and other large-scale changes that may require support or input from HR. Partner closely with internal subject matter experts from other functions (Legal, Corp. Communications, UPT, etc.) in the development and launch of cross-company initiatives. Serves as HR lead in change management.
    • Provide direction on creation, development, and delivery of activities, events, and programs that aim to elevate and boost the overall Team Member experience. Encourage and support inclusive ideation of new and modern ways to positively engage Team Members.
    • Provide strategic and operational direction to AskHR Services to ensure a reliable and hassle-free method for Team Members to find answers to all their HR-related questions. Collaborate with SMEs across the company to ensure knowledge database remains accurate. Analyze usage and partner with appropriate parties to resolve unusual or unfavorable trends.
    • Oversee the administration of Team Member Crisis Assistance Program and the partnership with OCPS / Universal Education Center.
    • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert in HR/Team Member handbook, policies, procedures, and processes. Identify opportunities to improve, update or eliminate existing such documents based on current/future practice and/or legal/regulatory changes and in alignment, where possible, with NBCU, Comcast, and other sister UDX destinations. Partner with HR teams in the roll out / training of new policies, procedures, and processes.
    • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree is required in Human Resources, Organizational Development, General Business/Project Management field or equivalent work experience.

    EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of HR-related position with 3 years+ in a supervisory role, including project related work.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    • Ability to collaborate and work closely with operational divisions within UDX as well as HR functions at NBCU/Comcast.
    • Strong project management skills.
    • Ability to create detailed, realistic project plans and be adaptable to changes happening across the company.
