Job summary
The Director of Events manages overall Event Sales and Event Planning standards including supervision of Event Managers and administrative staff. The position is responsible for coordinating catering sales by establishing markets, goals, and advertising techniques; coordinating with the Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure profitable bookings; manage pricing policy of the property, ensuring proper payments for services rendered;This position will be bonus eligible based upon meeting hotel goals.
- Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of Event Sales and Event Planning
- Develops marketing plans for generating catering revenues
- Maintains or exceeds budgeted sales in all event areas
