As a Controller, you will oversee the company's finance and accounting functions including month-end close, WIP reporting and financial reporting.
Manage the month-end close process, including WIP analysis and reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, P&L analysis, and general ledger maintenance.
Drive process improvement in reporting through documenting processes, drive task automation and system implementation as required.Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting, including weekly forecast and monthly management reporting.
Perform analytical reviews and P&L analysis to provide meaningful insights on operating performance.
Ensure timely preparation and review of all balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis according to standard closing process.
Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting team.
Backup for Sales Tax preparation/filing (multi-states).
Prepare reporting package consisting of Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Supplemental Schedules and reconciled WIP Report for Controller review.
Prepare and complete the annual financial statement audit for internal and external audit teams.
Ensure all accounting and financial activities follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
~Experience in job cost / WIP reporting and analysis is preferred.
~ CPA designation or MBA preferred.
~ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
~ This position is performed in a standard office environment.
When not stationary, this person will need to move about the office environment to access filing cabinets, office machinery, printers, etc.
