    Senior Product Specialist


    DIVISION:
    Metrology and Analysis Systems Division (MAD)

    Up to 30% (domestically and internationally)


    REMOTE WORK:
    Hybrid (+50% Onsite) – Onsite 90% / Remote 10%


    EXPECTED PAY RANGE:
    $123,065 - $169,214 annually

    This pay range is for the position's base pay only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Senior Product Specialist (SPS) is responsible for providing technical presentations, discussions, and technical support to existing and potential FIB-SEM and TEM customers.

    The SPS must collaborate with sales and marketing to both enable the company to meet or exceed the needs of our customers and achieve sales plan goals.

    The SPS will often utilize interactive communication skills with customers, factory engineers, and vendors to ensure effective support of the company's product lines.

    Primary applications field for the SPS is the failure analysis (FA) of semiconductor devices using FIB-SEM and TEM. So, the SPS requires strong technical background in semiconductor FA using FIB-SEM and TEM.

    The SPS will work closely with the Applications Engineering department and Sales department on defining applications for product strategies and roadmaps for FIB-SEM and TEM product lines.

    The SPS will communicate and work with the Sales department to promote and demonstrate products to potential customers. The SPS may attend and participate in conferences, exhibitions, and industry shows.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Deliver compelling product presentations
    Provide sample-run activities and product demonstrations to customers
    Conduct technical product training on instruments and applications for customers and internal staff
    Understand and provide technical solutions to customer's technical requirements through applications support
    Develop application notes (marketing collateral) for the appropriate product line
    Generate technical data for advertising, proof statements, journal publications, and other types of documentation
    Review and edit marketing documents and other written documents/reports for technical accuracy
    Provide sales staff with technical information in order to help them respond to customer issues and questions
    Analyze customer samples for sales opportunities and technical suppor
    Assist internal staff and customers with technical support and application issues
    Review customer application needs with sales staff
    Serve in a technical support role during sales calls
    Resolving technical product line issues and problems
    Key account technical management
    Provide technical requirements to the factory for continued and next generation product development
    Other duties as assigned
    EDUCATION, LICENSES, and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
    Master's Degree in related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience
    PhD in Biology, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred
    EXPERIENCE and TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
    Eight (8) or more years' experience in related materials science applications or semiconductor FA applications
    Eight (8) or more years' experience working with FIB-SEM and TEM instrumentation
    Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Focused Ion Beam (FIB) experience is strongly preferred
    Programming experience in scripting languages, Python, C, and C++ is a plus
    Project management experience is a plus
    Experience developing new products, technical functions, or applications through customer collaboration is a plus.
    Domestic and international travel up to 30%
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS / SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
    Must have organizational, analytical, problem solving, and customer service skills
    Ability to speak and present in front of audiences/classes, including educators
    Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong work ethic and willingness to work with others in a team setting
    Knowledge of technical documentation techniques
    Thorough and proven knowledge of laboratory practices, procedures, and equipment
    Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures and put safety first at all times
    Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with a focus on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    Ability to effectively communicate through phone, email, text, and any form of social and/or digital media
    Ability to work well independently and within a group
    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
    Ability to speak and comprehend Japanese a plus
