Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess skills for floor repair/replacement enabling them to handle a variety of floor surface maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and repair uneven surface where one side is higher than the other.
• Correct issue with surface coating
• Correct the surface to eliminate safety hazards.
• Methods may include grinding, patching, leveling compound, or partial replacement.
• Ensure surface is smooth, stable, and safe for customer traffic.
• Remove any existing flooring as needed.
• Prep the subfloor for new flooring
• Provide exact square footage of area requiring replacement (include 5–10% overage for waste).
• Ensure clean seams, proper bonding, and professional finish.
• Utilize tools and equipment effectively, including the use of an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention or repair.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or management.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain an organized workspace and manage tools and materials effectively.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding project status and any necessary follow-up work.
