Summary

About the Position:This position is with the Defense Health Agency located at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Cavazos, Texas.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Duties

Perform as a highly specialized physical therapist (PT) within the Intrepid Spirit building established for tertiary care for TBI and complex psychological and pain disorders.
Providing evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members with physical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injury, spine complications or injuries, neurological injuries/impairments, and pain.
Develop and implement complex, goal-oriented treatment plans for patients presenting with a multiplicity of dysfunction and impairments in physical, functional and adaptive areas.
Teach alternative or compensatory techniques for rehabilitation, reconditioning, and functional tasks.
Coordinate across the TBI pathway of care, to include several geographically separate multi-facilities, including other Intrepid Spirits, to ensure an interdisciplinary treatment approach.
Participate in advanced clinical research projects, relative to physical therapy or vestibular mechanism, and the rehabilitation of physical and vestibular disorders.
