As a host at Black Bear Diner, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. Your warm and welcoming demeanor will set the tone for their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet arriving guests warmly and promptly, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
• Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible, demonstrating flexibility and excellent customer service skills.
• Seat guests based on preferences while balancing customer flow in service stations, showcasing your organizational abilities.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and party size, providing an estimated waiting time. Call out name and number when tables become available, displaying attention to detail.

In addition to your hosting duties:

• Offer menus to seated guests while inspecting tables for proper presentation and completeness. Relay messages to servers as needed.
• Maintain clean entranceways, lobbies, dining rooms, and restrooms. Assist servers with maintaining stocked service stations. Clean chairs booths surrounding carpets swiftly reset tables efficiently remove spills crumbs debris accelerate smooth efficient restaurant operation manager assigned tasks during shift fill coverage directed supervisors downtime situations deployment occasional offsites division aligned.
